Mark Pratt is an accomplished legal and compliance professional and is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Toronto Botanical Garden and the Independent Review Committee of Capital Group’s Canadian investment funds. During his career of more than 30 years he has served as a senior legal and compliance executive at several of Canada’s banks and asset management firms, where he led teams in Canada, the US, the UK and the EU.

He has deep experience with regulatory compliance, regulatory relations, regulatory change and risk management matters, and has led the legal and regulatory aspects of many large business development and M&A projects. Mark has also been a part-time lecturer in Administrative & Regulatory Law and Securities Law at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law at Toronto Metropolitan University. He holds a BA from McGill University, an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School and an LL.M. from the University of Leicester.
